Conventions

Index Pages

Each core entity (containers, zones, pillars, principles, value goals, goal outcomes, pages, stack, rolodex, funding) has a dedicated index page accessible from the sidebar.

Display Configuration

Every index page has display utilities at the top:

Search — Find items by name.
Filters — Narrow by type, category, status, priority, and more.
Display config — Choose which properties are visible and how they render.

Views

Entities support multiple view modes:

List — Rows and columns. Best for scanning, comparing, and bulk work.
Grid — Card-based layout for a visual overview.
Kanban — Board columns grouped by a property (typically status). Best for workflow tracking.

Grouping

Reshape any view with grouping options:

Primary grouping — The main axis (e.g. status, priority, category, type).
Secondary grouping — An additional layer for more structure.
Board grouping — For kanban, determines which property defines the columns.

Sorting

Sort by name, date created, status, priority, or other properties depending on the entity type.

Layout Modes

Some sections support layout customisation:

Engines — Quadrants (4-pane), side-by-side (2-pane), or top-bottom (2-pane).
Pipelines — Side-by-side (2-pane) or top-bottom (2-pane).

These layouts let you view related entities together without switching pages.

Detail Pages

Each entity has a detail page for in-depth editing.

Main Content

The centre of every detail page is a rich text editor for notes, context, and decisions. Templates can pre-fill this content for consistency.

A sidebar (on desktop) shows key metadata: status, priority, dates, relationships, and linked entities. On smaller screens it collapses.

Detail pages show connections to other entities. For example, a container's detail page can show linked pillars, value goals, goal outcomes, and more. These cross-links are what make Wyrdos traceable from strategy to execution.
